How does it work?
IPL (intense pulse light) is a non-invasive treatment that uses light energy to target the underlying layers of skin. The treatment delivers a series of short, intense pulses of light to the skin, which is absorbed by the pigments in the skin cells. This process stimulates the production of collagen and elastin, which helps to improve skin texture and tone.
During this treatment, a handheld device is used to deliver pulses of light to the skin. The light energy penetrates the skin and is absorbed by the pigments in the skin cells. The pigments convert the light energy into heat, which stimulates the production of collagen and elastin.
IPL can also targets the blood vessels in the skin, causing them to coagulate and shrink. This helps to reduce redness and improve the overall appearance of the skin.
WHO CAN GET IPL SKIN REJUVENATION?
Skin rejuvenation is based on light absorption in melanin and hemoglobin, therefore treatments are more effective on light skin that is not suntanned at the time of treatment. However, AW3 systems have pre-programmed settings for each treatment, so all skin tones can ensure they will receive the correct energy output for their complexion.
DOES IT HURT?
Skin type is a fundamental effecting factor in this treatment due to the high level of pigment in the skin. Pain tolerance is very individual from person to person, but no anesthetics are required, and most people describe the sensation as similar to that of a rubber band snapping onto the skin.
